Ronn Kakazu
5th and 6th Grade Teacher
I am a proud graduate of Rogers School (Class of 1992). I'll be entering my fifth year of teaching at RAS, and my time here continues to be professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding. The students, parents, and staff are awesome to work with, and I continually see God's hand at work in our school.
For the past 25 years, I've taught in Washington, New York, California, and an island called Yap. After all these years, I still really love teaching. I also enjoy spending time with my family, running, paddleboarding, playing racquetball, and coming up with groan-inducing puns.
In my classroom, students engage in discussion, participate in projects, and apply Scripture to their lives. This year I'm excited to teach a very full class of students as we learn to be thinkers, using our God-given intelligence, instead of merely reflecting the artificial intelligence of our age.
