Rogers Adventist School
Uniform Dress Code
At Rogers Adventist School we want to minimize the impact of our outward appearance so our God- given talents and characters will be our distinguishing features.
Reasons for Policy
Our uniforms provide for consistent modesty and appropriateness, free from the current extremes of fashion.
Our uniforms encourage a sense of belonging and unity, free from the effects of socio-economic factors.
Our uniforms promote an atmosphere of learning, free from distractions of attire.
Our uniforms allow our students to be dressed safely, free to learn and play.
Students are expected to wear clothes according to the uniform dress code any time they are attending school. Occasionally special activity days may be declared non-uniform days. Concerts, field trips, and other school-related functions may require uniforms, performance clothes, or other attire as designated by the school sponsor.
It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure the child comes to school appropriately dressed. If children come to school inappropriately dressed, parents will be called and the child will be excluded from class or school functions until his or her attire meets expectations.
All regulated clothing (shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers, sweaters, vests, sweatshirts) must be purchased from the uniform section of any store.
Logos or insignias are not allowed, except for the Rogers’ logo, which is not required.
Baggy or skin-tight clothing is not allowed.
Undergarments must be covered at all times.

Skirts and jumpers must at least approach the knee (closer to the knee than the groin) and are always to be worn with opaque leggings, tights, or fitted, knee-length shorts.
Shoes must be closed-toe, closed-heeled, and have a maximum of one inch heels.
Socks, opaque tights or leggings, accessories such as scarves, headbands, etc., and outerwear
are the family’s choice as long as the choice is appropriate for a Christian school and
complements the uniform.
Modest swimsuits, worn for swimming only, must be either one-piece or tankinis. With either,
the midriff must be completely covered.
Hats, hoods, sun-glasses, jackets, and other outerwear may not be worn in the classroom.
Jewelry, glitter, body paint, body stickers or tattoos are not allowed.
Make-up if worn should appear natural and not be obvious.
Extreme or faddish hairstyles or fashions are not allowed.
Hair color should be natural in appearance.
Many stores have uniform departments. Some popular ones are Graphic Apparel, Land’s End, J. C. Penney, French Toast, Old Navy, Gap, Wal-Mart, Sears, Target, K-Mart, True Grits.
