Rogers Adventist School has some amazing students - and you'll know a Rogers' kid when you see one because they have something special: a smile, a kind word, a thirst for knowledge, a love for Jesus.
Meet Landon, a 4th grader in Mrs. Veverka's classroom.
Q: What’s the best thing about being a 10 year old?
A: I'm double digits, so that's cool. Also, I've learned a lot, but I still have more to learn:)
Q: What do you usually do at recess?
A: We play "lightening" which is a basketball game like "bump" but with different rules.
Q: What has been your favorite activity or project this year in school?
A: I really like math. I've been doing math for many years and so I like to help other students.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: "Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library" by Chris Grabenstein.
Q: If you could only eat one thing for a whole week, what would you choose?
A: My mom's baked potato soup
Q: What’s a food you can’t stand?
A: Raisins and blueberry muffins (I don't like the baked blueberries!)
Q: What games do you like to play?
A: We play Uno, Monopoly, and Life.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do with family?
A: We go for lots of walks or bike rides together. We like to ride around Whitman College.
Q: Is there something you would like to do, or a place you would like to go in the next year?
A: Wisconsin. My aunt, uncle, and cousins live there. I'd like to visit them, but also the cheese factory. I like all cheese!
Q: What’s something you hope you’ll learn this year?
A: More stuff about electricity and electrodes. That's what I'm working on for my science fair project and it's really cool!
