Rogers Adventist School has some amazing students - and you'll know a Rogers' kid when you see one because they have something special: a smile, a kind word, a thirst for knowledge, a love for Jesus.
Meet Clara, a 1st grader in Mr. Lang's classroom.
Q: What’s the best thing about being a 7 year old?
A: I get to go on the high dive. My little brother can only go on the low dive.
Q: What do you usually do at recess?
A: I do lots of things. I like to play on the merry-go-round, the monkey bars, and the swings.
Q: What has been your favorite activity or project this year in school?
A: We are doing a dot-to-dot project where we make 3D squares for an imaginary building!
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: I like the book from the library about Princess Grace and the kittens.
Q: If you could only eat one thing for a whole week, what would you choose?
A: Hamburgers and sandwiches.
Q: What’s a food you can’t stand?
Q: What games do you like to play?
A: My favorite is checkers, but I also like putting puzzles together.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do with family?
A: We like to go out to eat at Maple Counter. I get flapjacks with chocolate chips. My dad gets french toast. My mom likes the eggs and my brother eats the oranges and applesauce. He also likes the flapjacks.
Q: Is there something you would like to do, or a place you would like to go in the next year?
Q: What’s something you hope you’ll learn this year?
A: More about reading. I like to read a lot already, but I want to learn more.
