Media Assistant

Joy Palmer has been the Library Assistant at Rogers Adventist School since 1990.  She graduated from Walla Walla University with a BA in Education and later graduated from University of Washington with a Masters in Library Science.  She has taught in a one-room school and also assisted her husband during sixteen years of teaching in SDA elementary schools.  Joy was the Circulation Librarian and an instructor in Library Science at Walla Walla College for thirteen years. 

Joy has two children both of whom attended Rogers.  She has six grandchildren.  One of her granddaughters is a Rogers graduate and one is currently attending Rogers. 

In her spare time, Joy enjoys the hobby of birdwatching.  She collects pandas, tiny shoes, and Crayon memorabilia. 

Joy thoroughly enjoys her time with the children and the educational materials in the library.  We are thankful to have her as a library assistant.
