Current Happening:

Twenty-two students and I began our school year together as aquaintances and ended our time together with hearts full of lasting friendships.  Through cooperation, teamwork, and mutual respect, our students were able to grow and learn together through discovery and exploration, creating a unique environment to shine as individuals.  These twenty-two students also had the opportunity of learning to work together, solve problems, and find solutions while learning lifetime values and skills.  Most of all we had the priviledge of becoming friends with Jesus.

I wish you all a summer full of great family and friend time making many wonderful memories.  I love to keep in touch with you so come and see me or give me a call.  We have two summer parties planned for new kindergarten students coming in this fall.  The first one is a water-day party on July 6 starting at 1:30 - 3:00 p.m..  The second one is a gym and playground party on August 2 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

If you would like to get a hold of me please use the above e-mail or call the school number 529-1850 ext. 222.  I can also be reached on my cell phone (509)525-6765.

Classroom Philosophy:

I seek to provide a safe and caring Christian learning environment that promotes age-appropriate and individualized learning activities.  I will strive to encourage children to explore and create, gain information and mastery of new skills, and to learn and practice working and playing with others in a positive way.  Most of all, I look forward daily to seeing children happy and involved.

About Me:

I have now completed my eighth year teaching Kindergarten at Rogers Adventist School and I have been having a wonderful experience.  Previously, I was the director and head teacher of the Walla Walla University Child Development Center for nine years.

I have a wonderful husband, Scott, who teaches physical education, coaches volleyball and basketball, and runs the AcroKnight Gymnastics Team at Walla Walla Valley Academy.  I have two daughters Kelsie and Krista who both graduated.  Kelsie from WW University and Krista from WWVA.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing games, doing craft projects, gardening, camping, and spending time with kids!

There is nothing better then to be with a classroom full of wonderful kids!
